Artist's Description

Threatening skies on a very stormy day. We had snow, blizzards, rain, wind, more snow, more blizzards over and over again and again. It was snowing hard 30 minutes after I took this photo.

Summit County is in the high country of Colorado. We have 5 major ski resorts and many more nearby. In the summer, Lake Dillon is a major attractions. The county has lots of bike trails and hiking trials. Some are paved. Fishing is good at the lake plus in the tributaries emptying into the lake. There are about 30,000 permanent residents and in the peak tourist seasons in both Winter and Summer the number of people in the county swells to over 100,000 people. Over 65% of the single family homes are 2nd homes.

Great place to visit year round.

This was my first foray into digital photography. Since then I have graduated from point and shoot cameras to DSLR's. My first DSLR...
