Artist's Description
Taken during a Full Moon Shoot at Denver's Historic Riverside Cemetery. The Hughes memorial is in the foreground. The Stone House is behind the memorial. John and Laura Hughes lost Lucy in 1864 and Annie in 1871. Denver's Riverside Cemetery did not open until 1876. I believe both children were removed from Denver's Old City Cemetery. Now Denver's Chessman Park the Denver Botanical Gardens are on the ground of the Old Denver City Cemetery.
