Artist's Description
A Bull Elk passing in front of a Granite Moss Rock at Moraine Park inside Rocky Mountain National Park. This Bull Elk had been bugling all day. There was another Bull Elk in this area with a harem of 25 Cow Elk and a few calves. About half of the Cow Elk crossed the road to the meadow. Soon their Bull Elk joined them leaving about a dozen Cow Elk behind. As soon as the Bull Elk was across the road and into the meadow, this Elk came off the hillside and began rounding up its own harem.
