Artist's Description
Summit Cove on Lake Dillon is one of my favorite places. I live close by and will head down to the waters edge anytime it looks like it will be a good sunset evening. Summit County is known as Ski Country USA. We have 5 world class ski areas in the country and other such as Vail and Beaver Creek just about 35 minutes away in Eagle County.
During the Summer Months, Lake Dillon provides water sports and sailing. We have numerous bike paths and hiking trails throughout the county. Average altitude is 9,000 ft but we are surrounded with 13,000 ft and 14,000 ft mountains.
