The Bald Eagle on the bottom had been on this tree branch for 15 minutes or so when this other eagle flew in. The top eagle only stayed around for about a minute and then flew off. This photo was taken at Cherry Creek State Park in Aurora, Colorado.
The lower eagle is close to getting full adult plumage and is probably close to 5 years old. He appears smaller than the other eagle. The top eagle is probably a 3 year old. They have longer feathers than adults making them appear larger.
