Taken from Summit Cove on Lake Dillon in Dillon, Colorado. Soft reflections on the water enhanced the beauty of this photograph. Just before sunset, the skies were gray. Eight minutes later the pinks began to show and a few minutes later, the skies became brilliantly covered in Red, Oranges, Reds and Purple. Summit County is both a winter playground with 4 major ski areas plus many more just a short distance from the County. In the Summer, Lake Dillon draws lots of people. It is a great sailing lake. They have the highest Marina in the United States. Numerous biking and hiking trails cover the incredible landscape of the county. Lots of high peaks that have snow covering them every month of they year. Several are over 14,000 ft and many more are above 13,000 ft.

I still have albums filled with memories of my youth taken with my Kodak. In the mid 1970's, I got my first SLR 35mm Camera. I had an Olympus OM-1 and later on an OM-2. At one time I had a color lab in my basement. It was a fun hobby but very expensive and the results were questionable. In about 2000, I got a call from Kodak wanting to know if I liked photography and if I had a computer. I was chosen to be part of a digital camera focus group.
