Artist's Description

A Cow Moose walking along in a backyard in Summit Cove near Lake Dillon, Colorado. It was early morning and 5 degrees. Frost has formed on the back of this Moose. She was leading her two twin kids along to the back fence. They soon leapt over the fence and moved across the road from our home.

Summit County is surrounded by 13,000 and 14,000 foot mountains. Snow covers the mountain tops from October through May. There are several major ski areas in Summit County including Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin and Copper Mountain. Just outside Summit County are Loveland Basin, Vail and Beaver Creek.
