Artist's Description

Taken from our upper deck in Summit Cove near Lake Dillon, Colorado. This Cow Moose was at the fence waiting for her twin calfs to follow her. She soon leaped over the fence and her twin calfs followed her. It had snowed the night before. The temperature was 5 degrees when I took this photo. Summit County is home to about 250 to 300 Moose. The are migrating down now from the summer meadows. Most of Summit County is at 9,000 ft or more.

Major ski areas are nearby. They are Keystone, Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin, Loveland Basin and Copper Mountain.

This was my first foray into digital photography. Since then I have graduated from point and shoot cameras to DSLR's. My first DSLR...
